[photogallerylink id=102461 align=left]On what would have been [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]John Lennon[/lastfm]’s 71st birthday, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Paul McCartney[/lastfm] and Nancy Shevell exchanged vows during a Sunday afternoon ceremony in London.
The former Beatle started dating Shevell in 2007 and the couple became engaged in May of this year. The ceremony was held at Old Marylebone Town Hall, which was opened especially for the event. Shevell wore a knee-length ivory dress designed by McCartney’s daughter, fashion designer Stella McCartney.
Paul’s seven year old daughter Beatrice wore a wreath in her hair for her role as the flower girl. Guests included Barbara Walters (Nancy’s cousin!), Ringo Starr and George Harrison’s widow, Olivia.
McCartney gave his bride a platinum eternity band featuring five carats of diamonds. After the wedding, McCartney and Shevell waved as guests showered them with pink and white rose petals.
