Fifteen artists have been nominated for the 2012 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The nominations for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 are:

The Cure
Donovan
Eric B. & Rakim
Guns ‘N Roses
Heart
Joan Jett and The Blackhearts
Freddie King
Laura Nyro
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Rufus with Chaka Khan
The Small Faces/The Faces
The Spinners
Donna Summer
War

The Beastie Boys, Laura Nyro and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Donna Summer[/lastfm] are each on the ballot for the third time.

Donovan, Red Hot Chili Peppers and War are each making their second appearance on the ballot.

The Cure, Eric B. and Rakim, Guns n’ Roses, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Heart[/lastfm], Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Freddie King, Rufus with Chaka Khan, The Small Faces/The Faces and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Spinners[/lastfm] are all nominated for the first time.

The 27th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held in Cleveland on Saturday, April 14, 2012.
