Pretty excited to play a song later today on New Music Thursday from the new [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks[/lastfm] album, Mirror Traffic. The album was produced by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beck[/lastfm] and in a recent interview with Billboard, Stephen addressed the idea of attracting new fans by saying, “Unfortunately, [new fans] are not really going to come from rock radio. Any of this interest is going to have to come from Internet outlets and Internet buzz…” Well, today SM&J get the play on the radio and the endless amounts of buzz that this post will generate… OK, maybe not endless. Just wanted to post a song for you to check out.
