[photogallerylink id=93284 align=left]After [lastfm]Coldplay[/lastfm]‘s phenomenal performance Friday night at Lollapalooza it is safe to say that everyone is excitedly anticipating their new album. While playing all of their biggest and best hits that night, they also busted out some new singles which presumably will be on the upcoming album. These included “Hurts Like Heaven,” “Charlie Brown,” “Major Minus,” and their first official single from the upcoming release, “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall.” Judging by the crowd response, it is safe to say this will be another smash hit for the guys in Coldplay, but still everyone is wondering when the new album will officially be released.
Well wonder no more, because earlier this morning Coldplay officially announced via their website that the new album will be coming out October 24 later this year and will be titled Mylo Xyloto. There is no official track listing as of now, but the website does say that it will be released on CD, digital, vinyl and as a limited edition pop-up album, and also provided the cover art for the album, which is reversible and very eye-catching. More details are sure to come out soon, and they announced that their next single, “Paradise,” will come out September 12th, so hopefully that will be enough to appease the faithful Coldplay crowd until October rolls along. Below are some links to the official Coldplay website announcement as well as video from their recent Lollapalooza appearance.
