The band’s unique rockabilly, country and blues sound swings with an energy that rocks steady on the Ford’s unique belting vocals. After gaining the attention of Seth Avett, Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside opened for the [lastfm]Avett Brothers[/lastfm] across a national tour. Working on their first full-length album in 2010 with engineer Adam Selzer (Norfolk & Western) and Mike Coykendall ([lastfm]M. Ward[/lastfm], [lastfm]She & Him[/lastfm]), Ford and her crew recorded to tape, maintaining the essence of their live sound and giving the recordings a warm tone. Check out “I Swear” and “Danger” the first two tracks from their debut album Dirty Radio.
