[photogallerylink id=76796 align=left] Details read like an XRT listener’s fantasy roster — [lastfm]Arcade Fire[/lastfm] will re-release their Grammy Award-winning third album, The Suburbs, as a special deluxe edition including two new tracks, “Culture War” and “Speaking in Tongues” featuring vocal contributions from [lastfm]David Byrne[/lastfm].
Adding his vocals, “Speaking in Tongues” even echoes the title of a [lastfm]Talking Heads[/lastfm] album. Alongside these bonus tracks, the new version of “The Suburbs” will contain a behind-the-scenes documentary and the music video for the album’s title track, alongside an 80 page booklet.
There will also be an extended version of The Suburbs cut “Wasted Hours (A Life That We Can Live)”.
As if the CD and DVD isn’t enough they are also including a booklet featuring 80 pages of photos from the films shoot as well as lyrics. The CD/DVD hits stores August 2nd in the U.S.

More recently, Arcade Fire completed a series of shows in Haiti. Working with the local population, the band intend to bring some of the concert footage together as part of a new film.
