[photogallerylink id=10900 align=left]The XRT Opening Day Broadcast is a seven hour love letter to the national pasttime. As with anything you love, it may be colored by shades of regret. Still, hope springs eternal. That’s why we do it. That, and the opportunity to hear great music, played live and loud. Tomorrow’s lineup is as promising as anything you’re going to find on an MLB roster.
Everest has toured with the likes of Neil Young, Wilco and My Morning Jacket. We can’t wait to see them at YakZie’s.
Backyard Tire Fire forever endeared themselves to us during last year’s opening day festivities. These sons of Illinois are Cubs fans who know how to rock. We’re so pleased to have them back this year.
And what would Opening Day be without our beloved Waco Brothers?

I’ve had this one running through my head ever since the demonstrations over collective bargaining rights started roiling Wisconsin.
Tune in tomorrow — or even better, stop by — for live performances from these great bands, and some fun with your XRT pals. We’ll talk to you at 6 a.m.!
