Pearl Jam Heading Back To The Studio For New Album

[photogallerylink id=51449 align=left]According to bassist Jeff Ament, [lastfm]Pearl Jam[/lastfm] will be back in the studio once again come April to record a new album.  “April will be the time where we get together and learn to play all these demos and figure out which 12-15 of them float to the top,” Ament said. Since Backspacer, the band has written about 25 songs. The band has recently been focused on re-releasing their past albums and has been working on a documentary directed by Cameron Crowe celebrating their 20th anniversary. 

This year has been a busy one for the members of Pearl Jam.  Eddie Vedder is currently on a solo tour in Australia and is planning on recording a new solo album as well.  Drummer Matt Cameron is also about to record a new album with [lastfm]Soundgarden[/lastfm] and bassist Jeff Ament is planning on releasing an album with his side group Tres. Mts.  On top of all of this, on Pearl Jam is also planning a special 20th anniversary festival.
