[photogallerylink id=53254 align=left]This June, Chicagoans, [lastfm]Wilco[/lastfm] will head to North Adams, Massachusetts, the location of the Solid Sound music festival, headlined and curated by the Chicago group. At just $78, a weekend pass will provide endless entertainment including art, comedy, film and, of course, music. Wilco will share the stage with the [lastfm]Levon Helm Band[/lastfm], [lastfm]Thurston Moore[/lastfm], [lastfm]Syl Johnson & the Sweet Divines[/lastfm], [lastfm]Here We Go Magic[/lastfm] and many others. A ticket will also get you into MASS MoCA, the largest contemporary art museum in the country.
The festival has been generating buzz as “…An antidote to big-name destination festivals elsewhere in the country.” (Hartford Courant.) The concept at the heart of the festival is collaboration. Artists of all mediums and genres will come together to perform and entertain.The event will kick off on Friday, June 24th and continue through the weekend. Tickets can be purchased here.
