One of the most talked about and praised new bands to come out of the U.K. in the last several months is [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Vaccines[/lastfm]. The band has yet to release its debut album (it’s due out in the U.K. on March 14), but the anticipation has been propelled by the release of two singles.

Last.fm Discover checks in with The Vaccines during their U.S. stage debut and digs into what is making fans go “Ra Ra Ra” for this brand-new band.

Musically, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Vaccines[/lastfm] run the spectrum from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Wedding Present[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Ramones[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Pooh Sticks[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Chameleons[/lastfm], a little bit of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Velvet Underground[/lastfm] and especially [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Soup Dragons[/lastfm] before they discovered and covered “I’m Free” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Rolling Stones[/lastfm].

[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Vaccines[/lastfm] made their U.S. stage debut on January 20 at The Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Earlier that day, the bandmembers stopped by Last.fm Discover for an exclusive interview.
