[photogallerylink id=60492 align=left]Chicago Streets and San officials say with this week’s warmup, they’re going to start removing dibs.

Even though it’s officially illegal, the longtime practice of digging out a snowy parking spot and then “saving” it with lawn furniture, sawhorses, and even stuffed animals is (mostly) accepted practice in Our Town.

Now that the Blizzaster is two weeks behind us, and 50-degree temperatures are in the forecast today and tomorrow, city officials say it’s time to take the dibs down. If your dinette set and milk cartons aren’t gone by Friday, garbage crews will start collecting them for you.
