Our mom told us that we would get “crabs” if we went back in the Lake prior to the one hour mark. I was terrified that these things would latch on to me (the kind with claws, not the other). So, when I was 12 or so, I realized it was actually “cramps” she was referring to. And yes, I will never, ever eat margarine again…ach!
