flashback 385 Playlist: Saturday Morning Flashback 2/12/11Saturday Morning Flashback1973. Pink Floyd released Dark Side of the Moon. Stevie Wonder’s Innervisions won the Grammy for “Album of the Year.” Further proof that the 60s were really over: “Laugh In” and “The Mod Squad” went off the air. Topping out at 110 stories, the new Sears Tower became the tallest building in the world. President Nixon assured us he was not “a crook.”
It’s always fun to host Flashback, but 1973 is one of those years that offers a lot of musical gems.
Next week: 1986

top concerts, blue oyster cult at the auditorium, you failed to mention that the rasberries, (who replaced iggy pop as opening act) were booed off the stage after 2 songs. I actually liked them but not as a opener for BOC!!

Why can’t you make an easy link so we know what year is next? I don’t like the web site, and it’s a pain in the ass to find out what year is next. My hours are different from pretty much everyones, so I can’t stay up to hear what year is on. I may be alone here, but why is it so hard to promote what I think is the best show?

      Jon,

Wendy includes the next week’s year in each one of her SMF blog posts. We also have programming highlights listed here: http://wxrt.radio.com/this-weeks-programming-highlights (updated every Wednesday), promos airing on the radio, or you could always search “flashback” for the most recent SMF content on 93XRT.com.

      Thanks for listening.
