Some of music’s biggest names will be honoring the Queen of soul on Sunday night including Florence Welch from [lastfm]Florence and the Machine[/lastfm], [lastfm]Martina McBride[/lastfm], Yolanda Adams as well as former Grammy winners [lastfm]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Jennifer Hudson[/lastfm]. All of whom will be performing a salute to Franklin with their own renditions of her classic songs.
Franklin received the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1994 and the Grammy Legend Award in 1991. The tribute to Aretha will be one of many musical performances that night, Arcade Fire and Muse will be performing and Mick Jagger is going to make his Grammy Performance debut this year with a tribute of his own to the late Solomon Burke who passed away last year.
The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will air live on Feb. 13 at 8PM on CBS.
