[lastfm]Gregg Allman[/lastfm] appeared on on A & E‘s Sunday morning music show, “Private Sessions” this weekend to perform a few songs and talk to the show’s host, Lynn Hoffman. Gregg talked about getting back to music after his recent liver transplant, his new album, Low Country Blues, working with [lastfm]T-Bone Burnett[/lastfm]. He also told the story of how the [lastfm]Allman Brothers Band[/lastfm] came into existence, and how he almost became a dentist.
Allman’s new album Low Country Blues recently debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200, the highest position he has reached in his entire career. The album was produced by [lastfm]T-Bone Burnett[/lastfm] and features [lastfm]Dr. John[/lastfm] on piano and guitarist [lastfm]Doyle Bramhall II[/lastfm].
