Being one of the late nite dj’s here at XRT affords me heaps of time during the day to discover new bands and new music. Late last year, I stumbled upon a group that hails from New Zealand called The Naked and Famous. Upon further investigation , I discovered they’ve been signed by Fiction Records over in the UK.  If you’re an Anglophile like myself, you remember Fiction as being the label that discovered one of our all time favorites, The Cure. Over the years, Fiction has consistently delivered amazing bands and records in their 31 year history. Besides [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Cure[/lastfm], they’ve released records by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Associates[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Die Warzau[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Snow Patrol[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Elbow[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Yeah Yeah Yeah’s[/lastfm] and most recently [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Tired Pony[/lastfm] and in 2011 they’ll give us [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Naked and Famous[/lastfm]

Be on the lookout for their US Debut in March of 2011 and throughout the week.
