If you vote early and often like we do here in Chicago, you’re gonna need some tunes to rock the booth. Here’s some non-partisan suggestions:
- “Politician” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Cream[/lastfm]. A three-person ogliarchy including god (Eric Clapton.)
- “Election Year Rag” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Steve Goodman[/lastfm]. A lifelong Cubs supporter, probably a Democrat.
- “Mr. President” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Randy Newman[/lastfm]. The working man needs presidential pity.
- “Ball Of Confusion” by the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Temptations[/lastfm]. Vote for me and I’ll set you free.
- “Salt of the Earth” by the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rolling Stones[/lastfm]. The voter stays home in this one.
- “Freak” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Smashing Pumpkins[/lastfm]. Progressive progressive rock.
- “Revolution” by the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beatles[/lastfm]. Ballots over bullets.
- “It’s Alright Ma, ( I’m Only Bleeding) by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bob Dylan[/lastfm]. The commander-in-chief gets naked! (not that one.) Now, go to the polls!
