17 Frank E. Lee’s Election Day Voting Rock BlockIf you vote early and often like we do here in Chicago, you’re gonna need some tunes to rock the booth. Here’s some non-partisan suggestions:

  1. “Politician” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Cream[/lastfm].  A three-person ogliarchy including god (Eric Clapton.)
  2. “Election Year Rag” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Steve Goodman[/lastfm]. A lifelong Cubs supporter, probably a Democrat.
  3. “Mr. President” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Randy Newman[/lastfm]. The working man needs presidential pity.
  4. “Ball Of Confusion” by the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Temptations[/lastfm]. Vote for me and I’ll set you free.
  5. “Salt of the Earth” by the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rolling Stones[/lastfm]. The voter stays home in this one.
  6. “Freak” by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Smashing Pumpkins[/lastfm]. Progressive progressive rock.
  7. “Revolution” by the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beatles[/lastfm]. Ballots over bullets.
  8. “It’s Alright Ma, ( I’m Only Bleeding) by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bob Dylan[/lastfm]. The commander-in-chief gets naked! (not that one.)  Now, go to the polls!

Playing it at my school, which is a polling place!
