[photogallerylink id=43683 align=left]Jon Stewart is having quite a week. Not every comedy show host gets a half hour of the sitting president’s time. President Barack Obama was the lone guest Wednesday…first time The Daily Show has focused on one interview. This weekend Stewart is hosting his Rally To Restore Sanity along with Steven Colbert’s March to Keep Fear Alive in Washington DC. And to top off this eventful week, Stewart was voted the most influential man of 2010.
It was a poll conducted by askmen.com. Also making the top five list is Bill Gates of Microsoft, Facebook founder Mark Zukerberg, Steve Jobs of Apple, and Kanye West. Others on the list…President Obama at 21, Conan O’Brien at 12, and George Clooney at 18. Remember the Jet Blue flight attendant who went ballistic? He came in #49. OK. And I guess I’m not watching enough TV because the Old Spice guy came in at #30. Also of interest, Win Butler of [lastfm]Arcade Fire[/lastfm] was number 44, David Letterman 39, and Colbert 11. I wondered who the most influential women were and tried http://www.askwomen.com and got “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage”. Hmm.
But back to the march in Washington…plans have been top secret, but the buzz is that live music will be provided by [lastfm]The Roots[/lastfm], [lastfm]Sheryl Crow[/lastfm] and Chicago’s own [lastfm]Mavis Staples[/lastfm] with [lastfm]Jeff Tweedy[/lastfm]. I would vote for them in a heartbeat.
