Is it a cool, punk-inspired thing to do? Or, does it produce filler crap that any talented producer could work into stuff that people will eat up no matter what?

It’s just something that you don’t read about every day and I wanted to link to it, that’s all. I interviewed Nathan and Jared Followill back in 2005, and they were a blast to talk to, so I root for them a little bit, but at the same time, if stories like this are true, how are you supposed to feel about multi-platinum albums that you’re gonna hear a thousand times that may have been half-assed? Half-excited? Half-enthused?

why would it be considered half-assed? the song cold desert was done in the same way, and that’s their best song on that album.
