Kudos Lin! So glad to hear opposition to artistic trends, old and new and to the freedom to not agree with them. As I observe art, literature and music,.I just love to rave on what I do enjoy. Discrimination or personal judgment is what makes us individuals. Not intent on putting a negative spin on what I do not appreciate..I only rant on what garbage in my view is getting so much attention…but then, am I adding favor to the things I personally object to? Or am I adding to their fame only because of the controversy that surrounds that particular art, literature or music? Much of the old is cherished because it was inspiring for the time period in which it was created…Personally I don’t think there was much to choose from. Maybe future generations will worship the mediocrity of some of today’s artists…who knows. I have quite a bit of my own art laying around…maybe some one will someday RAVE what Masterpieces can be found at their local goodwill store!

To be perfectly honest. I really have never enjoyed Bruce Springsteen.

And I really don’t like Dave Matthews.

I can’t stand Steve Winwood…..reminds me of treacly twee girly radio….

Hometown favorites and all, but I’ve never understood the attraction of Cheap Trick.
