It was an eclectic mix as usual on the box this weekend (with some good choices from the massive Lee collection by special guest dj/drummer Ian Burns from Brooklyn’s [lastfm]Old Monk[/lastfm].) We enjoyed “Little Fluffy Clouds” by the [lastfm]Orb[/lastfm] (featuring interview segments from [lastfm]Rickie Lee Jones[/lastfm], no relation,) the “Signals, Calls and Marches” EP by [lastfm]Mission of Burma[/lastfm], an inherited lp of Mahalia Jackson songs and even [lastfm]Wanda Jackson[/lastfm] doing [lastfm]Amy Winehouse’s [/lastfm]“You Know I’m No Good.” (That was courtesy of Tom Marker.) Then we watched Bears preseason and the Emmys and went to bed even tho we weren’t tired.
