Bangor Grammer School, the all-boy voluntary school in Northern Ireland, is where the seeds of Two Door Cinema Club were planted. Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird and Sam Halliday, who had mutual admirations with [lastfm]At The Drive In[/lastfm], [lastfm]The Mars Volta [/lastfm]and[lastfm] Biffy Clyro[/lastfm], began sharing their musical ideas in Sam’s garage.[pullquote quote=”We met Daniel Glass and we just realized there was no point in meeting anyone else, really.” credit=”Alex Trimble on signing with Glassnote Records”] Their debut album was released in the States on Glassnote Records on April 27. After a tour of the U.K. in September, the band will head back to the U.S. for some shows in October and November.
