jeff 385 Video: Mavis Staples Live at Lollapalooza [photogallerylink id=31493 align=left]Some called it an inspired booking. Well, it certainly was inspirational. [lastfm]Mavis Staples[/lastfm], her sister Yvonne and her band of a few years now took the big, Budweiser stage at Lollapalooza at 2:00 in the afternoon today, Friday, and started out with an a capella gospel song. They followed with the riff heavy title track from their upcoming September release. Produced by Wilco’s [lastfm]Jeff Tweedy[/lastfm], who also wrote several of the songs including the title track, the new material was debuted in front of the receptive hometown audience.
