The interview and exclusive Kravitz-guided tour of the marshlands will be broadcast Friday, July 9 (7:00-9:00 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
As part of the exclusive, Nguyen spent an entire day with Kravitz in the region, visiting St. Bernard Parish, where he has become friendly with many of the fishermen through his work with the Gulf Aid Benefit Concert. Kravitz introduced Nguyen to friends affected by the oil spill and gave her a tour of the marshlands. In the evening, Kravitz brought her to one of his favorite restaurants in New Orleans to meet the chef, who explained how a lack of supply and people’s fears about eating seafood is affecting business.
