Pete Quaife
During his set at the 2010 Glastonbury Festival this past weekend, [lastfm]Ray Davies[/lastfm] dedicated two songs to the late [lastfm]Pete Quaife[/lastfm], the original bassist of [lastfm]the Kinks[/lastfm] who recently passed away. Kinks classics “Waterloo Sunset” and “Days” are already moving, and given the context here–the dedication, beautiful voices from a backup choir, and a sunshine-soaked crowd singing along–it’s hard not to feel the love and (if you’re human like us) shed a few tears.
