[pullquote quote="Joe Shanahan’s club on Clark became the Madhouse at Metro."] Metro filled up for 93XRT and CBS 2 Chicago’s Slapshot Sunday. A viewing party with a twist. The author of “Chelsea Dagger,” John Fratelli, flew in from Scotland with a band to play live on the stage of Metro. Jason Thomas commandeered the DJ booth before the game. I had the chance to welcome the crowd and remind everyone that the XRT Hockey t-shirts were free. Joe Shanahan’s club on Clark became the Madhouse at Metro as hockey fans cheered the National Anthem and booed Chris Pronger. A 3-0 first period put the raucous crowd into a perfect frame of mind for John Fratelli’s first appearance during the first intermission. John and his band came out and played the second intermission and then played a set after the victory.
