  • Sarah’s Circle – A refuge for at-risk women, will host a summer 5-K walk for all ages Saturday morning, June 12th starting at 4750 North Sheridan. Proceeds will provide services for women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. To register, visit http://www.sarahs-circle.org.
  • Chicago Music Commission – The Chicago Music Commission will present a panel discussion on issues of concern to musicians, 6:00 Monday evening, May 10th in the Claudia Cassidy Theatre at The Chicago Cultural, 78 East Washington. There will be a networking session at 5:30.
  • Symphony Center – There will be a tribute concert honoring jazz innovator Dizzy Gillespie, 8:00 Friday night, May 21st at the symphony center, 220 South Michigan Avenue. For ticket information, visit http://www.cso.org.
  • Chicago Office Of Tourism – The Chicago Office Of Tourism will offer tours of Chicago neighborhoods, Chicago’s magnificent churches, Chicago cemeteries, and the White City, this spring and summer. For details, call 312-742-1190 or visit http://www.chicagoneighborhoodtours.com.
  • DuPage County – The annual DuPage County River Sweep will be held Saturday morning, May 22nd. Volunteers are needed to help clean various locations along the river and its tributaries. If you can help, visit http://www.theconservationfoundation.org and search for DuPage River Sweep.
  • Children’s Hospital – The Children’s Memorial Hospital’s Race For The Kids, a 5-K run and walk, will be held Saturday morning, June 19th at Soldier Field. For more information, visit http://www.childrensmemorial.org/raceforthekids.
